KDJ Consultants contracts with registered nurses for the medical record review component of the HEDIS project. This medical record review process will be conducted in accordance to the National Committee for Quality Assurance (*NCQA) HEDIS medical record review guidelines using a certified HEDIS tool.

Licensed Registered Nurse

The ideal candidate will have these qualities:

  • Experience conducting HEDIS medical record reviews or similar studies
  • Ability to function independently, utilizing organizational skills and meet critical deadlines.  Attention to detail and accuracy a must.
  • Familiarity with both electronic and paper medical records
  • Dedicated computer for work use (PC preferred)
  • Current RN License
  • Ability to communicate in English in both oral and written format (Spanish a plus)
  • During the time period must commit to no less than 24 hours/week.  The availability for Nurses reviewing onsite must be during weekday office hours.

 Contractor Requirements:

  • EIN number or DBA certificate
  • Successful completion of background checks and drug screening (as submitted by KDJ).
  • Computer with reliable high-speed internet.

Training and Project Timeline – Training will begin using self –learning modules (SLMs) for all the measures and inter-active WebEx training on KDJ’s web-based database used for reporting and analysis (HARP). These sessions may start as early as December 1.  The project time requirement for medical record review is between February 1 and May 9.

KDJ Consultants seeks to contract for non-clinical administrative support for a seasonal healthcare project (*HEDIS-Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set).  The role is one of Independent Contractor and will be performed remotely. This position is an integral part of the chart request and document handling process as pertains to obtaining medical records from specific physician offices.

Job Responsibilities to include, but not limited to:

  • Calling physician offices to obtain necessary information
  • Updating information in KDJ’s database
  • Faxing chart requests
  • Processing received faxes (using PDF editing software) and uploading pdf files into KDJ’s database
  • Following up with calls/faxes for charts not received
  • Working closely with project lead regarding any identified issues
  • Manage assignments in a timely manner to ensure meeting project deadlines

The ideal candidate will have these qualities:

  • Ability to function independently, utilizing organizational skills to meet critical deadlines.  Attention to detail and accuracy a must.
  • Ability to commit to no less than 24 hours/week.  The availability for certain responsibilities must be during weekday office hours.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in English, both verbally and in writing (Spanish a plus).
  • Experience with HEDIS and/or medical chart studies, provider offices or in the medical field considered a plus.
